Introduction to this Wiki
German author Thomas Mann wrote Death in Venice in 1912. It is a powerful and (I hope you will agree!) fascinating short story, but it has a lot of complexity. I began by looking at Sparknotes, and bookrags and some other pages like that and some of the material I found there was useful. However, I felt that there was a great deal in the story that those sites didn't cover, so I thought I would launch a Wiki to help my ENGL 202 class at Drexel help each other to appreciate the story. Anyone, of course, is welcome to participate. Don't forget to include sources for your entries, though. Otherwise our readers won't know how to relate to what you said. And follow the Wiki style guide as much as possible.
About readers. If YOU are the source of an entry, that's valid too. Readers are a valuable source for understanding a story. Just explain why you think as you do.
